New "Do"

"CHEESE!"

Hayden got his haircut today. Not for the first time, but he got a new style and looks so cute and so much older. He was VERY well behaved. I'm quite impressed how still he actually sat throughout the whole thing. He is a ring bearer in his uncle Jason's wedding this weekend so we thought it was an appropriate time to have his hair trimmed up. I'll be sure to post pictures from the wedding!

It has been so long since my last post I'll try to keep this short and just add a tonne of new pictures. We're settled into our new home and absolutely LOVING it. We've been having a great summer so far too. We went on our first roadtrip last month to Regina. Hayden is such a great little traveller. He did so well the whole trip. It was so fun getting to spend time with all our friends and family out there. We also went to West Edmonton Mall which was a blast. It's too bad it was such a quick trip. With all the hot, sunny weather we've been having lately we've been spending a lot of time at Hayden's favourite place-the Waterpark! He's such a waterbaby. I'm pretty sure he's been to every water park in Western Canada! We just got back from a short vacation in Tsawwassen with Grammie and Grandpa. Hayden loved splashing in the water, throwing rocks and digging in the sand with Grandpa. It was so much fun. Enjoy the pictures!

Our trip to the Zoo

We went to the Vancouver Zoo with some friends of ours and despite the very rainy weather we had all afternoon we still had fun. Hayden absolutely LOVED all the animals. We'll definitely be going back again soon and hopefully get a sunny day.

The weather has been beautiful lately so we've been spending a lot of time outdoors. Hayden absolutely LOVES being outside. We've been going for walks in his wagon to play at the park and even for bike rides-he has a little seat on the back of my bike. It's great! I have to say it, but I think Hayden is getting into the "terrible 2" stage already. He certainly knows WHAT he wants and if he doesn't get it he is very dramatic. A temper tantrum consists of screaming at me, throwing something (if he's holding anything) and flopping onto the ground lying face down. We've only experienced this a few times, thank goodness and hopefully it doesn't get worse. Most of the time he is a very happy go lucky little guy. He's quite verbal, but still his own language. He only knows a few words including dad, mom, Tyra, grandpa, hi and bye. I'm sure once he actually does start talking full sentences there'll be no keeping him quiet. He's quite the character and has the funniest personality.

Make sure to check back in a few weeks as our next post will have pictures of our new house! We move at the end of this month and can hardly wait.

Enjoy the pictures!

We went on our first international family vacation at the end of February. It was amazing! Hayden is such a great little traveller. He did very well on the plane considering we had to keep him immobile for about 5 hours straight. Thank goodness for cheerios! When we arrived in Miami at our hotel after travelling for about 11 hours Hayden decided it was time to WALK! There's no stopping him now. He's motoring around EVERYWHERE and getting into EVERYTHING! He was so proud of himself the first time he took a few steps. Whenever he bails, he tries to do a smooth transition into a crawl as if he fell on purpose. Learning to walk on the cruise ship was challenging as it was a little rocky at times, but I think in the end it helped him have better balance. We had a blast on the cruise. Hayden loved the swimming pools and they always had fun activities going on all day and night long. We met a really nice couple from Florida with a 10 month old little girl so we ended up hanging out with them quite a bit. St. Maarten was definitely our most favourite port. The beach was unbelievable with the most turquoise water I've ever seen, the shopping was great and the drinks are SO CHEAP! We'll definitely be going back there someday. We also went to San Juan and St. Thomas. They are both beautiful as well. Overall it was an awesome first cruise experience. Enjoy the pictures!
